Double Waalled Tube Connectors

Please advise tube inner thickness when purchasing a connector without tube.

Please advise if outer tube is 3/4″ or 1/2″ OD when ordering.

Imperial sizes have a polypropylene inner connection, metric sizes have PVDF inner connection.

Lengths up to 100meters have a continuous inner and outer tube.

Lengths over 100 meters can be achieved but with a join in the outer tube on metric sizes. Please contact sales office.

Double Walled Tubing

  • For double wall MDPE the inner MDPE (Natural) tube is installed inside a 3/4” x 5/8” LDPE outer tube or certain sizes can also be offered in a 1/2″ OD outer tube. This outer tube will provide mechanical protection and also secondary containment for the inner tubing an is available in the sizes and lengths as per table:-
  • We offer both 3/4″ and 1/2″ OD outer tube in yellow or black UV stablilsed LDPE. Please specify on order.
  • Please note the longest length double walled tube with a continuous inner and outer is 100 meters.
  • On certain sizes we can do a longer continuous inner with just an outer joint. A surcharge applies for this service.

Double Waalled Tubing

For double wall tubing a PTFE tube is installed inside a 3/4” x 5/8” LDPE (Yellow or black) outer tube or for some smaller sizes we can offer a 1/2″ x .375 outer tube. The outer tube will provide mechanical protection and also secondary containment for the inner tubing and is available by the metre in the following sizes.

CSS use PTFE 62 which is a premium resin that has increased thermal stability, flexlife, stress-crack resistance and clarity.

All outer tube in either OD size is UV stabilised in both yellow or black. Please specify outer tube colour and size when ordering.

Please note the longest length double walled tube with a continuous inner and outer is 100meters.

On certain sizes we can do a longer continuous inner with just an outer joint. A surcharge applies for this service.

Double Walled Valved Termination Kit for PTFE And MDPE Tube

Double walled valved tube termination kit suitable for metric and imperial PTFE and MDPE tube.

PLEASE SPECIFY IF FITTING IS TO SUIT 1/2″ OR 3/4″ OD OUTER TUBE WHEN ORDERING

Inner tube passes through the connector on the right hand side, through the tee and out of the fitting on the left, to the pump or injection point.

The outer tube terminates at the fitting on the r.h.s. If the inner tube leaks it can simply be drained out through the valve.

HI-VAC Armovin Suction Hose HNA

A high tensile steel spring helix centrally positioned in a thick crystal clear, food quality, flexible PVC

This hose is suitable for high vacuum applications in food and non food industries. It is equally suited to dry or liquid transfer applications. It is suitable for beverages and alcohols that do not contain more than 28% alcohol. Vinegar, fruit juices, drinking water.

LDPE Polyethylene Tube

  • Low density Polyethylene tube
  • Yellow and black generally used as outer tube for double walled tube. Supplied in yellow as standard for double walled tubing at CSS.
  • Both yellow and black are UV stabilised so suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
  • Standard tube size for double walled tube is 3/4″ od . However we have the option of 1/2″ od outer tube for some sizes. Please refer to double walled tube sections.

MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene)

  • Polyethylene tube products are ideal in low-pressure applications, predominantly within the pneumatics, brewing, food and chemical industry.
  • Manufactured from high quality materials, which have the F.D.A and B.G.A.
  • Both yellow and black are UV stabilised so suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
  • The materials do not rely on a plasticiser for flexibility, which could be leeched out causing contamination, polyethylene tubes are ideal for conveying food based products.

Medium density Polyethylene (MDPE) PIPE (ALKATHENE)

  • MDPE is a light, flexible and durable piping system which is easy to install, it is ideal for carrying water including Potable Water and also a variety of chemicals and can be installed above or below ground as is it not susceptible to corrosion.
  • Standard tube sold is PE80. PE100 is available on request.
  • Internally abrasion resistant, stress cracking resistant, not notch sensitive and resistant to a variety of chemicals. The fact that it does not react negatively wither chemically or electrically with surrounding soil ensures that the pipework is not susceptible to rot, rust, corrosion or loss of wall thickness.
  • For outside installations black mdpe pipe is recommended.
  • Blue MDPE pipe is generally used for underground instalations as it is not uv stabilised.

PTFE (Teflon) Tube

  • Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE or teflon)) tubing is extruded from a chemically inert compound, it is non toxic, odourless, flavourless, fire-retardant, unaffected by UV and has a low coefficient of friction (non-stick).
  • PTFE (teflon) has many uses in chemical and general industry applications where aggressive fluids or environments are involved. PTFE has excellent resistance to organic solvents, acids and alkalies and has extremely good weathering properties. Please look at our double wall tube section to see prices for double walled PTFE.
  • CSS supply PTFE to many Industries including Water Treatment, Pump & Paper, Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical
  • PTFE tubing is stocked at CSS in many sizes and cut to suit client requirements
  • Compared with other grades of PTFE fine powder Teflon, CSS supply PTFE 62 which is a premium resin that has increased thermal stability, flexlife, stress-crack resistance and clarity.

PVC-U pipe

PVC pipe is a pressure pipe that provides excellent chemical resistance to most solutions of acids, alklais, salts and solvents that can be mixed with water.

It is light to handle and has good resistance to abrasion.

Union type double walled tube termination fitting

Union type double walled tube termination fitting suitable for metric (from 6/4mm up to 12/9mm) and imperial (1/4″ or 3/8″ only) PTFE and MDPE inner tubes.

Inner tube passes through the connector on the left hand side, through the union and is terminated at the enclosed inner compression fitting.

The 3/4″ outside diameter outer tube terminates at the fitting on the left hand side. The process connection is 1/2″ BSP male.

If you require the fiiting to suit 1/2″ od outer tube please specify this with order.
